  1. Job Statement (What are the major objectives or outcomes to be accomplished by the person in this job?) Works closely with the Office Manager, but ultimately reports to the Controller.  Required to execute accurate, detailed information based on tasks requested by various managers from all departments of BCS.  Must fill in for Receptionist when she is on vacation, plus be available to perform his / her own job.  Customer service skills are highly required for both internal and external interactions.  Marketing and advertising experience required.  Must be able to accomplish data entry tasks as needed.
  1. Essential/Critical Functions and Responsibilities
  • 1st phone backup to Receptionist on daily basis and backup when Receptionist is on vacation/personal time off.
  • Assist Office Manager with day to day job duties.
  • Prepares various job proposals, RFP's, etc. for managers of Energy Services, Security, Service, Sales and Projects dept as required.
  • Responsible to order promotional items, for trade shows and giveaways.
  • Orders lunch for off-site or on-site functions; organize company functions as requested.
  • Learns the start to finish process for managing security badges for various projects.
  • Responsible for coordination of some media relations to include radio, advertising brochures, mailouts for company advertising, and other marketing requests.
  • Must be able to negotiate best pricing on contracts related to office purchases.
  • Prepares press releases, resumes, etc., as needed.
  • Maintain master training spreadsheet for all employees.
  • Make travel arrangements for company employees as needed.
  • Prepares Power Point presentations for company meetings.
  • Perform various data entry tasks as necessary.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.  BCS reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

  • Must display a trustworthy deameanor when handling confidential information.
  • Must be able to interact well with others.
  • General knowledge of Service and Construction industry helpful.
  • Minimum High School diploma or GED.
  • Preferred 2 year AAS degree or 2 years experience in related field.
  • Intermediate skills in most software programs currently in use by company to easily retrieve data (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, and Mail Merging.
  • Adapts to new software easily with training.
  • Exceptional proofreading skills a must.
  • Available to work overtime to meet deadlines if necessary.

  2. What are the compensations? (Income range, pay formula, advancement opportunities, etc.)
  • Compensation based on experience.
  • Medical benefits - health and dental (Employer/employee contribution) insurance. Employer pays approximately 50% of health and dental coverage.
  • Flex Plan $300/yr contribution by employer) and Health Savings Accounts ($1250/yr family, and $625/yr single contribution by employer).  Minimal contribution required by employee.
  • 401k Pension Plan with $.25 on a dollar up to 6% employer contribution.
  • 8-1/2 Paid Holidays.
  • Vacation dependent on years of service.  2 weeks at time of hire.  Pro-rata based on start date.
