Job Statement:

Generate and sell profitable business of mechanical, automation, and related facilities solutions with new and existing customers. Promote and generate leads for all company services at SmartEdge with emphasis on Facility Explorer (FX) and ENVIRO-TECH (ETI) products including controls and equipment.  Maintain and improve relationships with key accounts throughout various vertical markets.  Responsible to assist other departments on strategic team sales. Develop industry specific solutions for clients to help them solve their business goals. 

 

Essential/Critical Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Develop target accounts which maximize a bundle of SmartEdge products and services.
  • Provide consultative sales to our clients and work with our partner’s to maximize services.
  • Achieve goals in sales bookings and margin dollars.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans.
  • Utilize strategic selling on all service agreements and targets.
  • Provide leadership on all booked projects by monitoring project profitability, change orders, cash flow and jobsite visits.
  • Incorporate value-added services, energy services, ASHRAE, IAQ and other value driven services in all renewals and new contracts.
  • Attend meetings and keep commitments necessary to support sales functions
  • Provide appropriate and timely direction and feedback to all SmartEdge employees.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to other service sales staff.
  • Act as “Account Manager” on select accounts.
  • Prepare estimates and bid “take-off’s”.
  • Promote, market, and assist in the sale of all core areas of business for SmartEdge.
  • Have working partnership with engineers, consultants, vendors, and other contractors.
  • Respond to all customer requests (internal & external)
  • Complete all assignments when participating as a team member on someone else’s account.
  • Complete bookings, change orders, and kickoffs on time including participation at project and account meetings as required.

  • Stay informed and become proficient on new products, procedures, industry regulations & codes.
  • On time; vouchers, meetings, expense accounts, commitments, monthly sales reports.
  • Contact new and existing customers on a continuous basis.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Practical Experience – proven sales track record; industry background.
  • Minimum 2 year technical degree required with 4 year technical degree preferred.
  • 10+ years Sales Engineering experience with HVAC systems and controls
  • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
