Job Summary:

This is a high level position where the candidate possesses advanced technical skills in HVAC systems, controls install, start-up, analytical troubleshooting and automation networking.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs
  • Assist development of project plan
  • Attends and follows company safety training and policy
  • Available after hours to aid and assist other technicians to resolve problem
  • Mentors Automation Technicians in training and troubleshooting
  • Develop procedures and training guidelines
  • Identify methods to enhance control system operation, identify costs, and promote directly with customer
  • Required to generate software and GUIs for DDC controls utilizing company standards
  • Provide customer training and support
  • Maintains a professional appearance
  • Maintains an organized and accurate vehicle inventory
  • Works with equipment vendors to solve automation problems and increase self-knowledge
  • Attends Project Meetings as requested by Project Management
  • Provides leadership and direction of subcontractors
  • Return, track and document all defective and/or not required project related materials.
  • Understand and execute  the scope of work provided under the contract
  • Schedule work with Project Manager or Service Coordinator

Education Specifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems, the theory of component and system operation
  • BS degree or eight years equivalent experience
  • Preferred experience in computer network operation
  • Proficient at using MS software
  • This position requires three (3) completions of BCS certifications
  • Successfully complete the BCS Certified Network 8000 Specialist Certification (BCNWS)
  • Successfully complete the BCS Certified LON Specialist Certification (BCLS)
  • Successfully complete the BCS Certified BACnet Specialist Certification (BCBS)
  • Successfully complete the BCS Certified Niagara Specialist  Certification (BCNS)
  • Successfully completes necessary factory certification courses
  • Applies knowledge gained from completing certification courses

Benefits and Compensations:

  • Compensation based on experience.
  • Medical benefits - health and dental (Employer/employee contribution) insurance. Employer pays approximately 50% of health and dental coverage.
  • Flex Plan($300/yr contribution by employer) and Health Savings Accounts ($1250/yr family and $625/yr single contribution by employer). Minimal contribution required by employee.
  • 401k Pension Plan with $.25 on a dollar up to 6% employer contribution.
  • 8-1/2 Holidays.
  • Vacation dependent on years of service. 2 weeks at time of hire.  Pro-rated based on start date.
